Good Luck Black-eyed Peas.

Black-eyed peas are a Southern tradition of starting the new year humbly. This year’s start was a white winter vegetable soup puree of rutabaga, celery heart, onion, parsnip, and flavored with an herb sachet (parsley, sage, thyme, bay leaf, peppercorns). The cooked lucky beans added until heated.

Sweet, savory and delicious.
